Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of M365 Audit, a free online service operated by Good Heart Tech ("we," "us," or "our") at m365audit.org and app.m365audit.org. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Free service

M365 Audit is provided free of charge to organizations using Microsoft 365. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

No professional advice

Audit results, scores, and recommendations are informational only. They do not constitute legal, compliance, or professional security advice. You are responsible for evaluating and implementing changes in your environment.

Eligibility and authorization

You represent that you are authorized to grant read-only access to your organization's Microsoft 365 tenant and that you hold a Global Administrator or Security Administrator role (or equivalent authority) when using the service.

Read-only access

The service is designed to read configuration and security data only. We do not intentionally modify your Microsoft 365 tenant. Any remediation or managed services require a separate agreement with Good Heart Tech or another provider.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, or use the service in violation of applicable law or Microsoft terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, COMPLETE, OR ACCURATE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOOD HEART TECH AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON AUDIT RESULTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Good Heart Tech from claims arising from your misuse of the service, lack of authority to grant access, or violation of these Terms.

Third-party services

The service integrates with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365. Your use of those platforms is subject to Microsoft's terms and policies.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information. By using the service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Exclusive venue for disputes shall be state or federal courts located in Oregon, unless prohibited by applicable law.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
